Why the number is only your own arithmetic
Most calculators in this industry apply a saving percentage you cannot see and a benchmark you cannot check. This one multiplies the hours you entered by the rate you entered. That is the whole method. If you change an answer, you can watch exactly which line moves.
We have deliberately not told you what proportion of those hours an assistant will take off you. It depends on your work, and anyone who quotes you a single figure for it is guessing. What we can tell you is which of our seven roles covers the kind of hours you just described, and what that role costs, which is on the pricing page either way.
For what it is worth, the most rigorous public work on where executive time actually goes is the Harvard Business School study by Michael Porter and Nitin Nohria, which tracked 27 chief executives around the clock for 13 weeks and gathered about 60,000 hours of data. It is worth reading precisely because it does not try to sell you anything. We have not borrowed its numbers for the calculation above, because their CEOs are not you.
